Lottery Analysis

The probabilities for randomly selecting each category are as follows:

 P(Operations VP): 45/1000 = .045

P(Transportation Manager): 187/1000 = .187

P(Sales Coordinator): 398/1000 = .398

P(Dock Worker): 370/1000 = .37

P(Female): 377/1000 = .377

P(Male): 623/1000 = .623

From the probabilities listed above, it is most likely the winner will be from the Sales Coordinator category. If an individual is selected from this category it is more likely they will be female as 65.8% are female. However, should a winner be selected from any other category then its more likely to be a male. Selection of the lottery winner will be at random, however if there are concerns of gender related discrimination then reducing the number of male entries would aid in balancing the probabilities.
